General Meeting held August 16 2017.

Meeting came to order at 12:30.

Pledge of Allegiance was led by Jerry Bodenhorn.

We had 2 Past Presidents in attendance, Rafael Flores and Jim Phillips.

We had 16 members in attendance.

Secretaries report was presented and approved.

Treasurers report was presented and approved.

Member drawing was won by Lou Green.

Club business and announcements are listed in a separate section of this newsletter.

Phil DeAugustino presented an excellent program on Astronomy with an emphasis on the upcoming solar eclipse. Thank You, Phil!

There was no time clock winner. Next months time clock will be $15.00.

We had the following raffle winners: Dennis Hogan, Bob Kozel, Gus Saxon x2, Mike Baylie, and Lou Green. Thank You! to Lou Green for filling in as Raffle ticket organizer..

Dennis Hogan won the 50/50.

General Meeting held July 21 2017.

Meeting came to order at 12:30.

Pledge of Allegiance was led by Jim Phillips.

We had 3 Past Presidents in attendance, Ken Busby, Rafael Flores, and Jim Phillips.

We had 15 members and 1 guest in attendance. Welcome Mr. Ron Apadocca! 50/50 and Raffle ticket drawing was delayed until the August meeting. Secretaries report was was presented and approved.

Treasurers report delayed pending the Secretaries return from vacation. Member drawing was won by Ray Maynard.

Our program was our Annual Anniversary luncheon. This year we decided to forgo our usual catered event in favor of a pot-luck format. This was a an excellent idea as we had an excellent variety of such choices donated by our members and was well re- ceived!

There was no time clock winner. Next months time clock will be $10.00.

We gave away 2 donated attendance prizes. Bob Kozel won a decorated chocolate cake and Marie Taylor won a $1 radar note.

General Meeting held June 21 2017.

Meeting came to order at 12:30.

Pledge of Allegiance was led by Jerry Bodenhorn.

We had 3 Past Presidents in attendance, Ken Busby, Rafael Flores, and Jim Phillips.

We had 16 members and 1 guest in attendance. Welcome Mr. Ron Apadocca!

50/50 and Raffle ticket reminders were announced.

Our program consisted of an extended “Show and Tell” and we certainly had enough to entertain ourselves! Please see the “Show and Tell” section for complete details.

We had the following raffle winners: Ellen Busby, Kate Saxon, Mike Baylie, and  Brit Smith. Brit Smith also won the Bonus prize. 

Mike Baylie won the 50/50.

Brit Smith was our time clock winner ($5.00). Next months time clock will be $5.00.

Last months delicious refreshments were provided by Mary Ann and Jerry Bodenhorn, and were gratefully appreciated! Thank You!

Next month is our Annual Anniversary Luncheon. This year, in an effort to cut waste and expenses, we voted to do a pot-luck get together. All contributions will be gratefully appreciated and if anyone needs any suggestions as to something to bring, feel free to call me at 951-551-9480 and we can review the sign-up list. I hope to see everyone there!

Following the regular club meeting there was a Board meeting held. A short discussion was held about the upcoming Officer elections and also about avenues available to attract new members. Arrangements also were made to cover club duties for Mary Ann and Jerry since they will be on vacation over the next months meeting.

Last month was our Annual Club Picnic so there was no general meeting held. Also due to poor weather, it being windy and cold, the picnic was also ended early! So there are no meeting minutes to report.

We had our annual Super Auction with over 100 lots. Thank You’s to our Auctioneer Ken Busby, Runners Jerry Bodenhorn and Mike Baylie, and our Accountant Mary Ann Boden- horn. Outstanding job!

We had the following raffle winners: Mike Baylie, Lou Green, Bob Kozel, Tom Taylor, Don Wagner and Mary Ann Bodenhorn. Ken Busby and Dot Williams both won Bonus prizes.

Lou Green won the 50/50.

Ellen Busby was our time clock winner ($5.00). Next months time clock will be $5.00. Congratulations to all the winners!

This month is our Annual Club Picnic! The club will be providing the usual Dogs and Burgers plus fixin’s. Side dish donations will be greatly appreciated and drinks will be provided by the club. Hope to see everyone at the picnic!

Phil DeAugustino gave an excellent presentation on "Collecting Morgan Dollars".

We had the following raffle winners: Mike Baylie x2, Lou Green x2, Gus Saxon, and Gus Saxon als won the Bonus prize.

We also raffled off 3 Bonus prizes. Bill Pearson, Ken Busby, and Kate Saxon all won prizes.

Jim Phillips won the 50/50.

Dot Williams was our time clock winner ($10.00). Next months time clock will be $5.00.

We enjoyed a varied selection of refreshments provided by Dennis Hogan, Irene May- nard, and Ray Meyer. It was appreciated!

Jim Phillips gave a presentation on "Collecting Colonial Currency".

Due to the generosity of our members and Ed Jerse of Hemet Coin and Stamp in particular, we had a number of items donated to add to our raffle prizes. Thank You!

We had the following raffle winners: Mike Bailey x2, Kate Saxon x2, Lou Green x2, Ellen Busby, Ken Busby, Bill Pearson, and  Dennis Hogan.

We also raffled off 3 Bonus prizes. Bill Pearson, Ken Busby, and Kate Saxon all won prizes.  

Jim Phillips won the 50/50.

We finally had a time clock winner. Ray Meyer won $25! Next months time clock will be $5.00.

Christmas Luncheon/General Meeting held 17 December 2016

(Due to the last meeting being the Annual Christmas Party, the meeting minutes are being presented in a condensed form)

Christmas Meeting held 17 December 2016.

Meeting came to order at 12:30 at Emillios restaurant.

We had 22 members and guests in attendance.

Secretaries and Treasurers reports were deferred to the January meet- ing.

Official Club business was also deferred to January.

President Ken Busby presented a “President’s Award” to Phil DeAugustino. Thank You! from the President and the Club!

Appreciation Certificates were presented to Ken and Ellen Busby, Mike Baylie, and Dennis Hogan. Thank You all!

We had a drawing for the table center-piece decorations, 4 Poinsettia’s. We also had a drawing for a 5th Ed. “Guidebook to Morgan Dollars” donated by Phil DeAugustino. Thanks, again Phil!

Lastly, there was a Super Prize given away during the luncheon. A 2016 1/10th OZ. Gold Eagle that was won by Marie Taylor! Congratulations to all the winners!!

Meeting was adjourned at 1:45 after an excellent lunch provided by Emillio’s!

We only had 1 Prior President in attendance, Jim Phillips. 

We had 14 members in attendance and 1 guest that later became a member. Welcome Mike Rodriguez!

Last month we had a very informative lecture on 1914 Federal Reserve banknotes complete with handouts.  Nice job Phil!

We had a small (11) lot auction handled by Jerry Bodenhorn. Thank You!

Last month was our White Elephant Sale. Thanks! go to Ken Busby as Auctioneer, Jerry Bodenhorn as runner, and Mary Ann Bodenhorn as cashier. Nice Job guys!! We raised $85.00 for the club Treasury which was a little more than last year. 

We had the following raffle winners: Gus Saxon, Dot Williams, and Mike Bailey x2. Dot Williams also won the Bonus.

Dennis Hogan won the 50/50.

There was no Time Clock winner. Next months time clock will be $20.00.
